Football Analyst Sutton Battles Artist Olly Murs in Premier League Predictions

Arsenal's ten-match victorious run came to an end by Sunderland prior to the global hiatus, but will the Premier League leaders bounce back against local foes Tottenham this Sunday?

"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," remarked soccer expert Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will attempt to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating finest this season - but Mikel Arteta's team typically still manage to win."

The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this season, versus AI, fans and a range of guests.

For week 12, he takes on performer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United supporter.

Murs' new record, the new release, is out on the weekend.

Murs is a talented soccer player as well as a successful singer and has been a star of several charity football matches down the years - but he is not planning a professional return as a player.

"{I actually played in a benefit match the other evening for a mate of mine," he said. "The side was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you want!

"I continue to love football, but I hurt my knee a few years ago and it still hasn't fully recovered. I wish I could play more but the unpredictability of the sport means it's too risky for me in my profession to do it properly again.

"Additionally I am forty-one now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am gearing up for the time that my child or son decides to play instead."

Murs and his spouse Amelia Tank have two children, Madison and their son, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming their coach.

"I will not push football on our children but I've previously told my wife that if they do get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will probably be coaching their weekend football team," he said.

"I watched my relatives play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I obviously owned a football club for a period too.

"My father did it with us when I was a kid, which is probably where I inherited it. He coached our team for several years and had a wonderful time with it. That might be the future for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

Premier League Predictions

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea may have to be patient for Cole Palmer's return from fitness issues but their offense is already more potent with Pedro and Liam Delap both returned to fitness.

I still think this game will be quite tight, though. The Clarets are well organised and their only home defeats so far have been against Liverpool and the Gunners.

It suggests a one-all draw to me, but I am in fact going to go with the London side to win narrowly for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.

The expert's prediction: 1-2

The singer's pick: The Blues will be superior. 1-3

AI's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have lost their past two games - although both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Aston Villa last time out which shocked me.

On the other hand, West Ham secured back-to-back victories before the hiatus and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they appear strong again.

West Ham's only on the road win this campaign came at Nottingham Forest in the summer, when their manager Nuno was previously Forest coach.

Therefore, what on earth do I go with here - can the Hammers continuing their streak under Nuno, or Bournemouth responding?

I am going to choose the Cherries, because I believe what occurred against Villa was a blip.

The pundit's forecast: 2-0

Olly's outlook: The home team are performing strongly but West Ham have improved under Nuno. 2-2

AI's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were seen as one of the frontrunners for relegation before the season began, but they have impressed a few people under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three wins in their past four matches.

A family member advised me to select Bees striker Igor Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks back and, guess what, I ignored the advice.

The forward will likely score again on Saturday but I am still not going to pick him or back Brentford at Brighton's ground.

The Bees have not had much fortune on the travel this season, and Brighton are always decent at home. The visitors will try to attack on the counter-attack but I think Fabian Hurzeler's team pose much more of a danger.

Sutton's forecast: 2-1

Olly's prediction: It could be a match where you expect there is going to be a many goals but it actually proves to be quite tight. 1-1

The computer's prediction: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a huge fixture for Fulham, who have lost five of their past six matches.

They have have lots of quality in their team but it nonetheless feels like they could be dragged into a drop zone fight.

As for the Black Cats, well they are the unexpected success of the top flight season so far.

The away side's performance in the two-all draw with the Gunners last time out was superb. We have not seen any other team disrupt the Gunners like that this season, and they were fully competitive for them.

The logical choice to do to back the Black Cats here, because they are obviously able of disrupting Fulham up too and, the previous occasion they were in west London, they beat Chelsea at the end of last month.

However I am not choose that. Rather, I truly need to continue going against the away team with my predictions. I am claiming a lot of credit for their good outcomes because they evidently love to defy my predictions.

Considering the home side's home record, the sole side they have been defeated by is Arsenal. Their manager's side will be absolutely desperate for a positive result, so I am going to predict they will pick up three much-needed points.

Sutton's prediction: 1-0

Olly's prediction: I know the visitors are performing strongly and also that the hosts are on a bad streak... but Fulham have still been respectable at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0

AI's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a tough one to call. The Reds have lost seven of their past 10 matches in all competitions, but might they be one of the teams who profit from the {international break|
